Come for a day. Stay for a few. Make Cedar Heart your creative home on Salt Spring Island.

Cedar Heart Creative Days are designed for people who want time to make, learn, explore and try new things.

Spend the whole day immersed in clay. Move from pottery wheel to watercolour to candle making. Wander the gardens between workshops. Browse art supplies and handmade ceramics. Join an art talk, take a walk, visit the bakery or head out to explore the island.

There is no one way to spend your day here.

BOOK YOUR DAY. THEN PLAN IT YOUR WAY.

Once you've purchased your Cedar Heart day, you'll receive the projects, workshops and activities available for that day so you can plan what you'd like to do.

Spend the entire day in one medium or move from activity to activity.

Stay in the clay studio throwing on the wheel and hand-building. Paint all day. Work through an idea from beginning to end.

Or throw a pot in the morning, try hand-building, paint with watercolour after lunch, make a candle later in the afternoon and finish the day with an art talk or walk.

Projects and activities change regularly, so every visit can be different.

Absolute beginners are welcome. If you're already experienced, use your time to practise, experiment, develop your work and explore your own ideas.

THURSDAY + FRIDAY

10:00 AM – 7:00 PM

$200 per day + tax

A full day to make.

Choose from the day's workshops and projects or settle into one medium for the day.

If you're working with clay, move between the pottery wheel, hand-building, surface decoration, trimming and finishing.

Take breaks. Wander outside. Have something to eat. Start something completely different.

The day is yours.

SATURDAY — CREATIVE DAY + MARKET

8:30 AM – 9:00 PM

$250 + tax

Saturday is our big Cedar Heart day.

8:30 AM — Breakfast

Join us for an optional breakfast at the farm before the day begins.

Breakfast and non-alcoholic drinks are $30.

10:00 AM — Salt Spring Saturday Market Tour

We head into town together to wander the Saturday Market.

Meet local makers, discover pottery, art and beautiful things, stop at a bakery and soak up a little Salt Spring life.

Then we return to Cedar Heart for an afternoon of making.

Choose your workshops, spend hours in the clay studio, paint, make a candle, work on your own project or move from activity to activity.

Evening at Cedar Heart

Join us for optional dinner and non-alcoholic drinks for $30, then keep making.

Saturday evening may include relaxed studio time, art talks, demonstrations, walks or other activities.

Everything in the evening is optional.

Stay in the studio or simply enjoy being at the farm.

We finish around 9:00 PM.

SUNDAY

10:00 AM – 7:00 PM

$200 + tax

Spend another full day making, learning and exploring.

Start something completely new or continue the work you began earlier in your stay.

Sunday is also a wonderful day to slow down, work at your own pace and enjoy a little more island life before heading home.

STAY FOR MORE + SAVE

One day is fun.

A few days gives you time to really settle in.

When you book two or more Creative Days, Thursday, Friday and Sunday are $150 per day + tax.

Saturday remains $250 because it is our extended Market + Creative Day.

Thursday + Friday — $300

Friday + Saturday + Sunday — $550

Thursday through Sunday — $700

Stay with one medium for several days or create a completely different experience every day.

OPTIONAL MEALS + DRINKS

Meals and non-alcoholic drinks are $30 per person, per meal.

Breakfast, brunch or lunch, and dinner may be available depending on the day's schedule.

You can join us for one meal, several meals or make your own food plans.

We do not serve alcohol.

STAY AT THE FARM

Private cabin — $100 per night

Our cabins are simple, cozy places to stay right at Cedar Heart Farm.

Bathroom and kitchen facilities are shared and separate from the cabins.

Stay for one night, a weekend or the full Thursday–Sunday experience.

COME FOR THE ART. STAY FOR THE ISLAND.

There is time here to do more than take a class.

Make something. Learn something you've always wanted to try. Wander through the gardens. Drink coffee from a handmade mug. Browse art supplies and ceramics. Visit the bakery. Meet makers at the Saturday Market. Go for a hike. Join an evening art talk.

Or disappear into the studio for hours and completely lose track of time.
